I’ll tell you what…I’m absolutely loving the fact that I have this little camera with me all the time now. It makes the walk to and from work every day that much more enjoyable, even if I only rattle of a few dozen frames. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve been walking back to my car and seen something photo worthy and been unable to capture it because I didn’t have my gear with me.
The fixed 35mm focal length (35mm equivalent) is really challenging me to find compositions that will work, and I think in the long run it will help with my vision as a photographer. Taking a page out of my friend, Brian Matiash’s book, I’ve been trying to simplify things every now and then, and so far this camera has helped me towards that goal.
Lavender and steel gray compliment each other beautifully in this fill-the-frame abstract. Love the soft and the strength, Heath!
Love all the X’s in this shot. Sounds like that little Fuji is a thing of beauty, and I’m loving the work your getting from it. Love it!
Love the tones and comp! Well done!
Great shot dude – totally abstract and simple, I love it. Also love that you filled the entire frame – kinda jealous of your new gear 🙂
that is a cool shot Heath! looks like a fun new piece of gear! Jim
Beautiful!! Such a great use of that camera, abstract and patterns all at once
Awesome colors and framing Heath. This shot is really top notch!
I agree with what Barbara and Jim said! Beautiful composition and color! Keep up the good work!
Such a clean and sharp image. Love the purple tones. Like you said, it will be a great exercise to walk around with a 35mm.
Sweet shot, Heath! Love that lavender!
Love the colors and lines, way to go by pushing yourself with the 35mm. Keep it up.
This is beautiful!
A fine example of “the best camera is the one that’s with you”.
Amazing what you’ll be able to capture with any camera so long as it’s with you all the time!
Wow dude, that is something else! Excellent eye for the shot & the proessing. You’re really making me take a serious look at this camera. Can you email me your impressions of it?
What a beautiful composition. Really nice work Heath!
Those tones are surreal. Almost looks more like a rendering than a photo.
Great shot, Heath. I dig it! Also, very jealous of the X100. It looks like an awesome little rig.
Excellent minimal my friend, a form of photography that has always fascinated me!
