Well, actually, fall is almost over here in Calgary. As the temperature starts to drop here, the leaves change colour very quickly and begin to fall of the trees within a week or two. The beauty of autumn is definitely fleeting. With any luck I’ll be able to grab a few more decent shots before the colours disappear for good.
As a few of you may know, I picked up a medium format film camera at the end of last week – and of course I fired off a roll of film within the first two days. I scanned the first batch of negatives last night and was quite pleased with the results. The larger format yields some very high resolution images and I was very happy with the image quality of the 80mm f/2.8 lens I’m using. Out of my growing collection of film cameras, I can see myself shooting with this most often.

Beautiful image Heath. Simple, but lovely colors and great dof. Can’t wait to see more from the new gear!
Awesome depth, amazing color. Love it!
That is a lot of golden goodness. We are close to that, but I fear the wind may take all of our leaves 🙁 You sure are rocking the film like a champ!
This just looks awesome man, so jealous! Incredible details for sure! Can’t wait to see the next set of shots!

Wow, love the softness and depth in this one. Afraid we’re going to have a short color season here as well.
Love your framing here Heath. Gorgeous colors certainly don’t hurt either. 🙂
