We made our way over to our friends place for dinner this past Saturday night and had a great time catching up and hanging out.

I forgot how much I love my 50mm ๐ July 17, 2012 - 8:24 am Babies and beer, can’t get any better, eh? ๐ Nice shots! Thanks for blogging this month. July 17, 2012 - 8:29 am She’s adorable! Can’t wait to see more. July 17, 2012 - 9:18 am She looks just like her momma. Mike made me LOL. July 17, 2012 - 10:47 am What a wonderfully expressive face she has for photographing. July 17, 2012 - 1:25 pm What a beauty! You guys are truly blessed! July 17, 2012 - 1:59 pm What a cutie. Is she going to make it out to next years Joshua Tree adventure? July 17, 2012 - 7:57 pm I am a big fan of all five subjects in this photo shoot. So fun! July 29, 2012 - 5:58 am Very cute A couple of weeks ago I posted on my Facebook page asking if anyone was willing to donate their time to let me shoot them exclusively on film. Thankfully, there were a few brave folks who responded and I got out on a beautiful night with Carey and Jamie. I won’t get too nitty gritty with the details, but I will say this: metering with an iPhone + manual focus + lefts and rights flipped = a pretty good learning experience! I’ll likely want to try this again, so if anyone in the Calgary area is reading this let me know if you’re interested.

July 9, 2012 - 8:02 am Metering with an iphone eh. Awesome. These came out great Heath. July 9, 2012 - 8:55 am Really nice images! Well done. Never thought about metering with an iPhone. July 9, 2012 - 9:12 am An experiment that turned out great Heath. Do you see yourself doing more sessions on film? July 9, 2012 - 12:13 pm Awesome job man. I cant imagine how tricky it was with everything backwards but you did great. Love that Portra. July 9, 2012 - 5:57 pm Umm, hi. You have an absurd amount of talent, sir. These rock, especially considering the circumstances with everything switched! Rea was an absolute trooper on Saturday for toughing out the incessant rain on her wedding day. Here’s one frame of Rea with her umbrella.
![]() ![]() June 25, 2012 - 8:29 am Rain…that must have been fun ๐ Love this dude. June 25, 2012 - 9:51 am Good good picture. June 26, 2012 - 6:46 am Beautiful shot Heath. She looks radiant!! Even with the rain coming down. June 26, 2012 - 12:13 pm Do like this, a lot. June 26, 2012 - 3:57 pm Nothing like a little challenge. People love their fur children – just ask my buddy Jesse. And I’m no exception to this rule either – I’m sure you’ve all seen a number of photos of my pug/jack russell, Dexter. So when my good friends, Ben and Lisa asked me to shoot their little family, I was more than happy. Just a shame Teddy wouldn’t keep his tongue in his mouth for the duration of the shoot ๐

Wonderful captures of Teddy…I think he’s cute with his tongue sticking out. June 21, 2012 - 9:49 am Haha dude, Teddy is awesome. Hilarious how he can’t keep his tongue in his mouth. Great shoot. June 21, 2012 - 9:57 am High marks for the low laying dog in the grass couple in the distance photograph. All around great shoot my man. Dogs! FTW! June 21, 2012 - 1:52 pm Dogs rule! Awesome shots Heath. June 23, 2012 - 2:00 pm That last shot is my favorite! Great session all around. June 29, 2012 - 3:09 pm Super shots as always; I looked through the images before going back up to read the post. First look through I didn’t even notice the song, but after you mentioned it sticking out it was all I could see ๐ June 29, 2012 - 5:11 pm Awesome set! Love the last one and the one of the dog with the tongue out with the couple bokeh’d in the background! July 5, 2012 - 4:56 am I guess it is the heat that makes him stick out his tongue |
Awesome job dude…stained glass window…sickness.
Wow. Bride in front of the stained glass window in B&W. Silly good stuff man.
Killed it! I have to agree, love the one looking down the hall of the bride in front of the stained glass window! Winner!
I like these very much. Agree with the sentiments on stained glass window photograph.
It might have rained on their wedding day, but the real sunshine is the joy you elegantly captured in these images. Beautiful set, Heath.
Those shots in the stairwell and by the window are awesome. I know they probably weren’t overly thrilled about the rain, but it sure added some drama to your shots! Great work dude!
