Forgive the pun in the post title – I couldn’t help it 🙂
This is Quarry Lake in Canmore, AB at sunrise. Whenever I shoot mountains at sunrise or sunset, it’s always a bit of a surprise when sun gets to just the right angle to light up the mountain peaks. And then, of course, it’s a scramble to find all the compositions you want before that perfect light disappears.
Equipment:
– Canon EOS 5D Mark II
– Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L
Stunning Colors Heath! Well done!
Beautiful glow Heath! Love this image!
Another winner, man. You are really doing something special with these mountain frames.
Oh that is perfect. Beautiful shot.
It’s glow time…hilarious 🙂
Love this man…that brief moment of perfect light is what it’s all about sometimes…so exciting and thrilling, but nerve wracking because you want that perfect composition.
Killer light, my dude.
I don’t care how many times you see a sight like this its always gorgeous!
Wonderful light and color Heath. The title says it all.
Dude, another killer mountain shot. I’ll excuse the pun, but only on the basis that this photo rocks.
Great colors and I love the reflection. You’re absolutely right – the peak of the color is for a very short time – and you never quite know when that moment is going to be …..until you realize the colors are fading and it’s over!!
Great light, great shot!
