Since I was up late last night watching the final few episodes of Prison Break season one and didn’t have time to process a new image, we’re going back to Joshua Tree National Park today. I had thought about including this shot in my original week-long series from the park, but it just didn’t work as a square crop. So, the processing is the same as the others you’ve all seen, but I left it in its native aspect ratio.
I am certain that every photo I’ve seen come out of that park has to be amazing.
It’s O-FFICIALLY on my to shoot list.
I like how the little tree fills in that gap on the right. Very nice photo!
Well done! Great title for this shot… def. fits. I, like Chris, like the positioning of that tree.
I like how that tree is just peeking through the rocks. Nice composition from the sky to the ground.
Great job with the sky in this image. That little tree next to the rock just complets the image for me!
Dig the shadow from the foreground plant. Impressive how well you made harsh mid day light work.
Nice shot Heath – love that crooked tree in the background.
Perfect comp! well done bud.
Nice shot, and love the cloud which looks like smoke coming out of the rock! Jim
The crop and vertical orientation had to stay. Your eyes take you right up the hill.
Love that tree! I think that hard light gives the shot a feeling of heat.
I plan on going to this place in the next few months I hope. Put my annual pass to use! I’m going to have to hit you up for some good locations.
I love the light and how the shadows were rendered. great capture.
Great image Heath! Love the processing!
I’ve really enjoyed all of your images from this series – I wanna go! 🙂
This is an amazing image, Heath, love the composition and perspective!!
