I’m not ashamed to say that I welled up listening to the words they wrote about each other.

just a couple http://heathofee.com/2012/12/13/just-a-couple/ http://heathofee.com/2012/12/13/just-a-couple/#comments Thu, 13 Dec 2012 15:19:18 +0000 http://heathofee.com/?p=5006 I spent just over a week in Palm Springs at the end of November and managed to make a road trip to Phoenix for a weekend to help my buddy Mike Olbinski shoot a wedding. Being the great guy that he is, he let me shoot a roll of film. Here are a couple of frames taken with my Mamiya 645.

We ended up with a perfect late summer day and we had so much fun with Tammie, Chris, and their entire group. By the end of the night we all just felt like old friends hanging out.

Oh, and the girl doing one handed pushups on the dancefloor? Yeah, so good.

Into the Mist http://heathofee.com/2012/03/27/into-the-mist/ http://heathofee.com/2012/03/27/into-the-mist/#comments Tue, 27 Mar 2012 13:10:47 +0000 http://heathofee.com/?p=4296 Ever since I was a kid I’ve loved the fog. Something about how it makes the world feel smaller and seems to make everything just a little more quiet. We were treated with a good dose of fog a couple of days ago and I just happened to be downtown with my camera. Lucky me 🙂

The Scotts: Calgary Family Photographer http://heathofee.com/2011/12/01/calgary-family-photographer-3/ http://heathofee.com/2011/12/01/calgary-family-photographer-3/#comments Thu, 01 Dec 2011 14:10:58 +0000 http://heathofee.com/?p=3855 I’ve known this amazing family since my days slinging coffee at Starbucks. Steph and Doug used to come in a few times a week and they were hands down among my favourite customers. I’m thankful that we’ve been able to keep in touch since my career as a barista ended, and I couldn’t have been happier to shoot them and their awesome kids a few weeks ago.

What a great afternoon we had 🙂

Canon EOS 5D Mark II

Loaded with a roll of Fuji NPH 400, I took to the streets and parks and came back with a few images I was happy with – this is one of them. #FilmFriday

Daily Grind http://heathofee.com/2011/08/03/daily-grind-2/ http://heathofee.com/2011/08/03/daily-grind-2/#comments Wed, 03 Aug 2011 13:10:03 +0000 http://heathofee.com/?p=2662 I see far too many moving staircases while at my 9-5. I figured it was time I captured one.

For what it’s worth, this was taken inside the Palliser South building, which has been featured quite prominently on my blog here, here, and here.

Monolith http://heathofee.com/2011/07/07/monolith/ http://heathofee.com/2011/07/07/monolith/#comments Thu, 07 Jul 2011 13:10:20 +0000 http://heathofee.com/?p=2704 I think this is my favourite building in Calgary. It’s called Palliser South, and sits just south and east of the iconic Calgary Tower. It’s definitely not the tallest building in the city, nor does it have the most grand foyer, but there’s something about the lines of the exterior that just sucks me in. I find myself staring up at it every time I pass by…which is twice a day since I park just across the street from it. Shooting it from any angle just makes me happy.

I’ve posted much more complex compositions of this building in the past, but today I thought I’d go with something simple.
