After visiting Lake Louise, I made a short trek up the Icefields Parkway to both Bow Lake and Peyto Lake. Today’s image is of the latter which is known as ‘the bluest lake in the Rockies’. The colour of the lake in the photo below is an accurate representation of what I saw when I was there – it’s just crazy blue!
Equipment:
– Canon EOS 5D Mark II
– Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L
– B+W 77mm 10 stop ND Filter
Awesome shot, Heath! Love what you are doing with that ND filter!
That color is absolutely insane man…would love to see that with my own eyes! Great filter work.
OH. MY. GOD.
Holy crap. That’s blue.
These last several photos you’ve posted have been great, but this one is just amazing. Nice work.
Can I trade in my images for your images? 😀 Love the snow and the clouds! I wish I had more of those things in my images.
Wow, that lake doesn’t even look real it is so blue! Another great shot!
WOW! The blues are insane! Great shot!
Love it, Heath!
This image is gorgeous – I love how the mountains pop against the sky!
Going to put this place down as a must visit. Simply beautiful.
Love this lake Heath and I’ve never seen it with snow. The contrasts are awesome.
Seriously intense blues! Brilliant work.
Brilliant shot here! Love the blues and the way the snow seems to run right into the water at points. Cool find!
Nice one, Heath!
This is insane!! Looks like a minature set with the trees. Nice!
I have really been enjoying this week. This is no exception.
Awesome man!
Awesome, Heath! When we saw you, you hadnt been up to Banff in a while and then you visit so soon, after the snow? This makes me envious of how close you are. Beautiful vista!
