While I was in the Lake Louise area with Rick Louie last week, I took a bit of time to experiment with some long exposures on film. Armed with my Canon Elan 7 and a roll of Kodak Ektar 100, I let loose for a few exposures on the roadside falls we found. I polished the roll off a couple nights ago and got it developed and scanned last night – and boy was I happy with the results. Ektar has great colour saturation and punchy contrast which is just how I like my landscape images, oh, and there’s hardly any visible grain, which is crazy. I’ll definitely be shooting more Ektar in the future.

Crazy good. I had to double check this was a film shot. Looks just like your usual landscape work. Great job dude.
Heath wow man, this is one exceptional shot. You nailed the exposure for sure, incredible film shot!
Great shot bud! And way to make it happen with a film camera. That’s pretty frickin’ sweet.
Man I love the perspective and the tones, the Ektar makes a perfect landscape film!
Good stuff Heath. I used to shoot Ektar back in the 90’s with my film camera. Always loved it.
Very cool man. Love that water and all the green.
Awesome. I remember a TwitPic from Rick at this location. Glad to see it in all its film glory!
Very cool!
Very nice! This came out great!
