I’ve been sitting on a few images of these fire hoses from the abandoned fire station south of Indio, CA for a couple of months now. When shooting, I was pretty happy with what I captured, but when I got back home and dumped the images onto my computer, I was less impressed. Last night I decided to take a crack at one of the bracket sets to see if I could come away with something I’m happy with…and what you see below is the result.
Sometimes persistence is your best friend 🙂
That is a lot of fire hoses…damn. I like the soft dreamlike processing you choose. Nicely done!
I think the inherent challenge in UrbEx is finding something that really makes you wonder why a place is like it is. You captured that here. Such a cool find.
Love what you did with this quirky comp. I really enjoy seeing the distortion in the opposing doorframes. Great, per norm, dude.
Holy cow! Pretty funny.
Such a mess in there, but I really like it. Subtle focus helps as well!
Who doesn’t like a pile of fire hoses? I like it Heath – way to keep at it!
Great shot, Heath. Love the processing!
Great shot Heath. Your persistence definitely paid off.
It is crazy the stuff that just gets left behind. Great image man!
You really “hosed up” this shot, Heath 😉 Great photo! Love the detail and choice of processing.
What a randomly-awesome scene! Great find.
I appreciate the slight extra light around that blue/yellow bax that really stands out and appears to have been installed just yesterday, in contrast to the rest of the scene.
We’ve all been hosed now 😉 Very nice – I like the colors and tones in this. You’ve made the room look almost ‘soft’ and I’ll bet it’s actually pretty ‘harsh’.
Phenomenal processing!
It’s just a whimsical, curious scene and I love it! Thanks for bringing it to light!
What an interesting scene! Love the sharpness of the hoses…
