I know it’s a little late to be posting a photo, but I thought I might as well throw one up today since I was finally able to find a few spare minutes to process a shot. This shot is definitely a bit of an experiment for me, as I’ve never really tried too hard to take a self-portrait. I’ve always liked the idea, but never really spent the time thinking about how I wanted to do it…that is until I saw these convex mirrors. I thought it would make for a cool portrait while still being a relatively interesting frame all on it’s own. I kinda like the idea that even though I am the focal point of this image, I still sort of just blend in with the rest of the scene. I also really like the way you get two views of the parkade in this shot: a semi close-up of the parking signage, and the distorted fisheye view from in the mirror.
This is awesome…bad ass work man. Love it.
Very good indeed – the composition is great – getting yourself in the shot and the ramp as well. Superb processing too. 10/10 dude!
It’s never too late to post a photograph… especially one this awesome. Great job mate!
I love these mirrors, and you have put this one to good use – lovely contrast of shiny mirror and matte concrete.
Boy are you ugly! But the artistry is great! 🙂
That rocks Heath! What a great idea! I love the composition for all the reasons you’ve mentioned here, my friend.
I like it Heath. Very cool!
wow my friend this is Cool!!!
Cool shot, Heath! Great eye!
Wicked shot!
Kick ass portrait dude. I love everything about it.
Haha. I love it dude! Sweet SP! You look bad-ass. I always thought you would be a nerd… weird. 😉
Very nice, totally dig to composition and the processing. Parking garages are a blast to shoot in.
Awesome shot Heath! Way to think outside of the box to get a heck of a self portrait!
Awesome photograph Heath! Great idea for a self portrait. Another one is the convex mirrors trucks and vans use to extend their view at the back of the vehicle.
I dig this. Great composition and processing, and a good take on a self portrait – nice work.
Great SP Heat. Cool shot.
