This is officially the first image I’ve processed with my brand new iMac, and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve had this machine in my hands for less than 24 hours and I’m already in love with it. Not only does it look fantastic, but the speed with which I can process images has increased exponentially…this is key. There is absolutely nothing worse than sitting in front of a computer watching a progress bar painfully inch it’s way across the screen, and thankfully I no longer have to put up with that. The transition, although not entirely completed yet, has been relatively painless thanks to my trusty external hard drives. The only thing that might cause an issue is having to completely reformat my Drobo drives to FAT32 since I wasn’t thinking this far ahead when I initially set them up on my PC.
This shot is from the the abandoned gas station outside of Seebe, Alberta. I love the vibrant graffiti and the stark shadows cast by the wood wall frame on the left edge of the image. I have quite a few more urbex shots that I’m excited to share from this location, so if you like this one or the previous shot I shared, stay tuned for more to come in the next few weeks!
Hi
Ireally like your HDR work – nice and clean.
regards, Erik
This is honestly one of my favorite urbex images from any tog I’ve seen. The light is stunning. The graffiti is vibrant but not overcooked. The comp is spot on. Just great work Heath. Really impressive!
Mind I ask what software you used to edit after tone mapping?
Wow, the graffiti looks like YOU wrote on my screen! Great stuff Heath!
Bad ass. You are getting better and better, probably my favorite of yours so far!
The tones are sick! That is all 😀
Awesome! The graffiti looks like it was just sprayed on!
I’m dealing with the same PC to Mac dilemma… I am using a laptop that is WAY underpowered for photoediting and that progress bar is always in the way (plus it sounds like a jet about to take off…)! 🙂 Which iMac did you go with?? Keep up the great work!
Very cool image, HDR is nicely done.
Welcome to the Mac world. I’ll never leave.
Welcome to the light, Heath. Once you go Mac, you’ll never go back.
This is one awesome urbex shot, my friend. Fantastic work!
Heath this is fantastic. Really nice job man.
Wow, this is great Heath! Just love it!
Heath, this is absolutely GREAT … shame you got the Mac working though, I had cleared a space on my desk for the monitor *sigh* … Congrats on both the shot and the machine!
Honestly dude.. I love your graffiti photos… So dope..
You should focus more on graffiti.
You should publish another photo book dude, i will totally buy it.
