Simon + Megan: Calgary Maternity Shoot

A week and a half ago I had an awesome maternity session with Simon and Megan – despite the (somewhat) early hour I forced them out of bed I’ve known these two for a couple of years now, and I have no doubt that they’re going to be wonderful parents when the time comes.

I posted these photos to my personal Facebook page a couple of days ago, but after looking through them again, I figured they deserved a blog post as well.

The real reason I was in Hawaii a week and a half ago was for my best bud’s wedding. We’ve been friends since grade 1, and I couldn’t have been happier to be his best man while we were down there.

I hope you enjoy this little taste of Maui and the people we enjoyed it with.

Meet Chris

Since I started this blog almost a year ago, I’ve learned an awful lot about photography and I’ve applied quite a bit of this knowledge to help further my skillset as a photographer. Aside from this though, the most important thing that has happened since I started this blog has been the forging of new relationships. Through the magic of social media outlets like Twitter and Facebook, I’ve become good friends with a number of like-minded individuals – something that never would have happened just a few years ago. Although I haven’t had the chance to meet most of these people in the flesh, I did get the chance to meet two such people last month. Chris Lazzery and Chris Halford made the long journey from the northeastern US to the Canadian Rockies for a week of shooting, and I was lucky enough to join them for a weekend. While the shooting was amazing, the best times of the weekend were had sitting around the table in our rental condo chatting about our passion…and snapping photos of each other, of course So, everybody, meet Chris Halford (he likes red wine):

Daily Grind

Every now and again, we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This has been true for me for the past couple of months now. Due to changes at work, I’ve been working longer hours and have had much less time to connect with friends through blogs and Twitter. I just want to thank you all for continuing to support me even though I haven’t been able to reciprocate…it means a lot.
