I shot a few sets of brackets in various lecture theatres with the intention of merging them into panoramas, but didn’t have too much luck with my first attempts. With the help of Jacob’s post, and the better merging capabilities in Photoshop CS5, I was able to achieve some better results.

This first image is of Cragie Hall Building C, Room 119 (CHC 119 for those who attended the U of C). I had a first year physics lecture in this classroom when I was still an engineering major…so I wouldn’t say I have extremely fond memories of this room, but I decided to photograph it nonetheless. There are a few alignment issues that can be seen when this image is viewed large (click the image to see it larger on Flickr) which I think is the result of shooting the three sets of brackets at 10mm. When shooting this wide there tends to be a bit too much distortion around the edges of the frame…consider this a lesson learned! I believe I should have another couple lecture theatre panoramas to share, so keep a look out!
