Centenary Park – heath ofee dot com https://heathofee.com Wed, 01 Dec 2010 13:40:56 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.1.6 Tiny Skyline https://heathofee.com/2010/12/01/tiny-skyline/ https://heathofee.com/2010/12/01/tiny-skyline/#comments Wed, 01 Dec 2010 13:40:56 +0000 http://heathofee.com/?p=1417 I’m back after a two day absence! Life is a little hectic right now…moved into a new building at work on Monday and I’m leaving this Saturday for my wedding in Mexico! As a result, I’m not sure how often I’ll be posting for the remainder of this week.

This is a shot from back in August. Initially, I wasn’t entirely happy with the brackets I collected from this location. But I went back to a few of them last night and, with the help of onOne’s Phototools, was able to get something I’m quite happy with.

Centenary Park Bridge https://heathofee.com/2010/09/05/centenary-park-bridge/ https://heathofee.com/2010/09/05/centenary-park-bridge/#respond Sun, 05 Sep 2010 22:39:28 +0000 http://heathofee.com/?p=1045 A couple nights ago I ventured down to Centenary park to attempt some sunset/blue hour shots of the Calgary skyline. I knew the exact spot I wanted to shoot from because I had been there a few years ago with my dad’s old Canon FT-b and his trusty old 50mm f/1.8 manual focus lens. This was the first SLR camera I ever used and I had a ton of fun with it for about 6 months until I bought my first DSLR.

While the photos of the skyline still need a bit more tweaking, I did take one other set of brackets of the bridge leading into Centenary Park. This shot is a bit of a re-creation of an old photo I shot on film from years past. I’ve always known I wanted to try the shot again because the colors came out completely wrong on film. I’ve put both images in this post…the top one was shot the other night and the greeny looking bottom one was shot on film all those years ago. Hopefully the new one is an improvement!
