behind the scenes – heath ofee dot com https://heathofee.com Mon, 31 Oct 2011 12:35:52 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.1.6 Control Room https://heathofee.com/2011/10/31/grand-central-photo/ https://heathofee.com/2011/10/31/grand-central-photo/#comments Mon, 31 Oct 2011 13:10:21 +0000 http://heathofee.com/?p=3649 As part of the behind the scenes tour of Grand Central Terminal we got to see the control room. This is where every single train that enters and leaves the terminal is dispatched – pretty cool. Each employee had a few giant monitors with different maps of the train tracks, and on the wall at the front of the room there were two huge screens that showed every track and the location of every train. Such an amazing place to see, and I’m glad I was able to capture it.

View From the Clock https://heathofee.com/2011/10/20/view-from-the-clock/ https://heathofee.com/2011/10/20/view-from-the-clock/#comments Thu, 20 Oct 2011 13:10:04 +0000 http://heathofee.com/?p=3547 I have two people to thank for this shot: Steve Beal and Chris Robins. If Steve hadn’t called me at 9:20AM to let me know that he and Chris had hooked us up with a behind the scenes tour of Grand Central, I wouldn’t have come home with a unique shot like this. Why is it so unique, you ask? Well, this was taken from the clock tower in GCT! There is a small section of the bottom of the clock that actually swings open allowing just enough room for a single person to stick their head and torso out. When it was my turn, I borrowed Steve’s fisheye and fired away.
