Since this shot got such a good reception over on G+, I figured I’d post it here on the blog as well to let the rest of the world see it!

Great portrait dude, the bokeh balls look good too!
You crushed this shot – freaking awesome!
Awesome portrait man. That bokeh is ridiculous.
Wonderful portrait.
Really great portrait. Glad Rich actually got one in return.
Honestly, Heath, this is one of the best portraits of me anyone has taken in a while. You did me justice. Many thanks!
Wow, a truly fantastic portrait.
I can’t add anything that hasn’t been said. I absolutely love this portrait.
Loving the bokeh! Hello Rich, nice to meet you.
Fantastic portrait! Nice job keeping glare out of Rich’s glasses.
Bokeh-licious! Awesome portrait!
This is great! Awesome idea with the bokeh.
It’s the sweet Bokeh man, I’m tell’n ya. Nice work.
sorry i missed you on the trip, look forward to meeting you soon.
Normally one would expect out of focus bokeh to detract from, rather than enhance, a portrait – at least that is what some of the people-who-think-they-know-it-all would say, as traditionalists. But the portrait is strong enough on its own to hold the attention, and the bokeh on the left lead the eye in. It’s unusual and, it’s an unusually good portrait. Well done!
