I shot a bunch of wide angle views of this same scene – a couple of which I may end up sharing in the future – but this closer crop I shot with the 50mm really appeals to me. I love the way the mountains fade into the midday haze as you move through the frame.
Equipment:
– Canon EOS 5D Mark II

What a perfect title for this one, the way the mountains disappear into the horizon is incredible! Well shot dude!
Really awesome shot and well-composed to capture the vanishing point in the distance. B&W treatment works well to enhance the “fading” feeling.
Love it!
You never cease to amaze me with how you see the world. Loved the fading going on along with the branch off in the lower right corner. Beautiful work.
I love the textures in this shot! Nice and dramatic presentation!
I love how the peaks create a leading line through the image. Well done.
I agree Heath. I love the way the mountains fade into the light. Great shot.
Sick shot man! Love the way the peaks do this at certain times of the day. Good job.
Excellent shot, really like the framing and the B/W treatment.
You took the words right out of my mouth. Love how the contrast fades as you fall further back into the mountain range. Nice eye bud.
This is astonishing. I have such a thing for that fade of distant mountains. This is gorgeous.
Beautiful B&W frame Heath!
