Lake Cameron Sunrise – heath ofee dot com

On my second day in Waterton Lakes National Park, I woke up early and drove to Cameron Lake (~16 km from the town of Waterton) to catch the sunrise. I got there just as light was starting to break, but the real show didn’t start until a hour after I arrived. Due to the fact that the mountains are so close to the lake, the sun didn’t light up the far slopes until well after it had started to rise. I’m glad I waited around for the light because watching that warmth hit the mountains you see in this image was well worth it.

  1. Don’t know if you remember me but I met you while you were in Waterton shooting some pictures. You came in for some food at Trappers where I work. I got your card and just came across it the other day and thought I would take a look at your site. I’ve enjoyed going back and checking out your past work. Keep it up. I got you in my google reader now so I can see where else you’ll go and shoot. Cheers.
