Last Sunday and Monday I had the pleasure of meeting and shooting with Rick Louie of Hansrico Photography. He was up in my neck of the woods from his home in Colorado on a photography trip with 8 or 9 other shooters from across North America. Sounds like they had a great time in and around the Banff area and I was happy to be able to spend an evening with them all.
The first spot Rick wanted to hit with me was a small hillside creek that created a ridiculous quantity of small waterfalls. He and the crew had stumbled upon the location earlier in the trip, and I’m glad they did as I could have spent hours shooting these little falls. Below is one of my faves from that location.
Equipment:
– Canon EOS 5D Mark II
– Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L
– B+W 77mm Circular Polarizer Filter
The long exposure works perfectly here Heath, wonderful details too, excellent shot man!
Love these long exposures with the saturated green moss! Great shot bud.
Beautiful shot Heath. Great colors!
Love those lush greens and how you worked the polarizer. Beauty.
Stunning shot Heath. The colors are just beautiful.
Beautiful little falls. What a find.
Beautiful long exposure Heath. I love the saturation of the colors.
Love the long exposure and vibrant greens here! Great use of the CPL Filter to see ‘through’ the water! Beautiful scene!
Dude, you nailed this one! I need to find time to process mine!
Beautiful capture Heath – Gotta love all of that vibrant green moss!
Love the rich tones of the moss and rocks and also love how the shadows define the space. Excellent shot!
Nice. Tried to find a small stream like that around here for a while. Flat areas sux that way (non available from what I can find)
This has to be one of my recent faves! I really like the bright green moss and lovely little waterfall.
Love the contrast with the green moss against the water.
Ooh. Nice long exposure work, Heath. Fun shooting with you.
