I appreciate how difficult it is shooting from a helicopter with other people up there also shooting, and as you mention the glass getting in the way. One of the biggest issues I had is that I seemed to actually catch the propellers in the shots, obviously a quick shutter release on a wide angle stopped them in their tracks quite well.
