There’s nothing better than capturing a pure candid moment…especially when the subject is one of your nephews.

I’m not entirely sure what Carter was thinking at this moment, but I absolutely love the look on his face and how he’s tucked against the couch with his favourite blanket and a book about tractors.

I had portraits on the mind last night, so I went back through the shoot I did for my sister’s family last week to find something to post. I decided on a shot of my oldest nephew. The title of the post may not seem to make sense when looking at this adorable face…but believe me, this shot is one in a million with this guy. Whenever the camera is pointed at him, he likes to either run away or make a frowny face…perhaps this is typical behaviour for a two-and-a-half year old Regardless, I’m very pleased that I was able to get a great headshot of the little guy, and even more pleased that there’s a hint of a smile on his face.

I know I said in yesterday’s post that I was itching to get back to some HDR images, when looking through my catalogue, I couldn’t resist this adorable shot of my youngest nephew, Cole. This was actually shot on Christmas day just as he came in the door to my parent’s place all bundled up from the cold. I couldn’t help but take a photo with that little green toque on his head
