Typically, I try to make most of my images as completely crisp and sharp as possible, but I decided to go for a slightly softer, more ethereal feel with this image. I also decided to boost warm, yellow tones to emphasize the gorgeous evening light that day. Hope you all have an awesome Friday and a fantastic weekend!
]]>The long shadows, winding pathway, autumn colours, and low sun just all magically lined up for me to take this shot. This was the last set of brackets I shot at the sanctuary that day, and I wouldn’t have gotten this shot if I hadn’t convinced myself to keep elxploring after completing a circle of half the park. Always listen to your gut. Often times it’ll give you good advice.
]]>I shot the scene below about 6 or 7 times with different lenses and compositions hoping to capture the reflections of the Colonel James Walker House and the autumn colors in the most compelling way. This is something I need to do more often. For the majority of my photowalks I throw one lens on the camera and stick with that for the entire walk. This strategy has it’s merits, but doing this can also limit your creativity, and at the end of the day, you may have missed some interesting compositions that may have been had with a different lens.
