I like that among all the boring grey, white and black of the parkade, these vibrant colours exist as a nice contrast.

I’m not sure about anybody else, but I’ve been in a serious winter weather shooting funk. The boring overcast skies and constant snow has really put a damper on my motivation, and I’m finding it difficult to find any inspiration to go out when my city looks so disgusting. With any luck, April will bring some nicer weather and I’ll be out and about shortly, but in the meantime, you’ll have to put up with shots from my archive. Here’s hoping for spring!

5 Five http://heathofee.com/2011/03/05/5-five/ http://heathofee.com/2011/03/05/5-five/#comments Sat, 05 Mar 2011 16:22:08 +0000 http://heathofee.com/?p=1943 After seeing Jacob’s parking garage shout-out to me yesterday, I was inspired to go back to my most recent parkade visit and see what I could come up with. I don’t have a tripod that allows me to shoot at ground level, so for this shot I put my camera right on the ground and used my padded camera strap to hold the lens high enough off the ground to get the correct framing. I wanted the viewer to be led through the frame by the yellow line front and centre to all those concrete columns telling us that we’re on P5. The contrasting yellows and blues add some interest.
