I’ll be sharing those photos some time down the road, but in the meantime here are a few casual frames shot on film.

developing at home | film http://heathofee.com/2013/11/05/developing-black-and-white-film-at-home/ http://heathofee.com/2013/11/05/developing-black-and-white-film-at-home/#comments Tue, 05 Nov 2013 14:55:11 +0000 http://heathofee.com/?p=5491 I’ve embarked on a new adventure: I’m now developing my own black and white film at home. Neat!

I ruined about half of the first roll I attempted, but the second roll was pretty close to flawless. The frames below are nothing special, but make me happy because I made them all on my own.

just a couple http://heathofee.com/2012/12/13/just-a-couple/ http://heathofee.com/2012/12/13/just-a-couple/#comments Thu, 13 Dec 2012 15:19:18 +0000 http://heathofee.com/?p=5006 I spent just over a week in Palm Springs at the end of November and managed to make a road trip to Phoenix for a weekend to help my buddy Mike Olbinski shoot a wedding. Being the great guy that he is, he let me shoot a roll of film. Here are a couple of frames taken with my Mamiya 645.

I took a short walk there a few days ago and rattled off a roll of film.

Anyway – here’s a frame of the youngster on Portra 400. A little bit of cuteness to get your weekend started.

Carey+Jamie http://heathofee.com/2012/07/09/careyjamie/ http://heathofee.com/2012/07/09/careyjamie/#comments Mon, 09 Jul 2012 13:40:28 +0000 http://heathofee.com/?p=4562 A couple of weeks ago I posted on my Facebook page asking if anyone was willing to donate their time to let me shoot them exclusively on film. Thankfully, there were a few brave folks who responded and I got out on a beautiful night with Carey and Jamie.

I won’t get too nitty gritty with the details, but I will say this: metering with an iPhone + manual focus + lefts and rights flipped = a pretty good learning experience! I’ll likely want to try this again, so if anyone in the Calgary area is reading this let me know if you’re interested.

Shot with a Mamiya 645 1000s/80mm 2.8 on Kodak Portra film.

Peyto Lake http://heathofee.com/2011/12/09/peyto-lake/ http://heathofee.com/2011/12/09/peyto-lake/#comments Fri, 09 Dec 2011 14:10:12 +0000 http://heathofee.com/?p=3926 #FilmFriday is back today with an image I shot of Peyto Lake in Banff National Park.

I love the faded look of this shot – it makes me feel like I’ve stepped back in time.

Equipment:
– Mamiya 645 1000s
– Mamiya Sekor C 80mm f/2.8
Kodak Portra 400
