On the recommendation of my pal Jesse Pafundi, I rented a fisheye lens to take with me…he promises I won’t regret it. I took delivery of the lens a couple of days before I left, so of course I had to do a little bit of experimentation at home. Since the most interesting thing around my house is my dog, I figured I’d give the little devil the fisheye treatment. He doesn’t look too impressed.

]]>I really had no idea what I wanted to post this morning. I sifted through a whole bunch of my old photos going all the way back to 2009, but didn’t find anything I wanted to process until I hit my shots from last summer. I think it must be my yearning for spring and summer that made me stop on these, because that green grass just looks so wonderful right now. If you haven’t seen any photos of my dog before, this is Dexter. He’s a pug/jack russell cross and he’s a little devil…but I still love him. As I’m typing this post, he is sleeping soundly in my lap
As for the shot, I really like Dexter’s satisfied tongue-hanging-out-of-mouth look, and the juicy bokeh highlights in the background are an added bonus. I ran this shot through PhotoTools and applied a few of my favourite filters along with a light brown tint to give a slight vintage feel.
