I share your fascination and amazement with planes. How the any jumbo jet gets off the ground is just plain amazing. Older planes like this one has more character in my mind. When you think of when they were built, that just makes the older planes even more magical…

Fantastic detail! Great use of the wide-angle lens. I like this HDR. It looks realistic and not over done and cartoonish.

I’ve learned something from your composition today – it’s interesting that you cut off the propeller on the right and the wheels on the left… I think I automatically would have backed up and tried to squeeze the entire plane in but I would have lost something… Sometimes it’s what you choose not to include and I’m learning this more and more. Your comp drags the viewers eye directly into the center of that engine and it really works. Great image Heath.
