Okay, I know that red, yellow, and blue aren’t the traditional set of primary colours…but this is the title I first thought of when looking at this image. I like that among all the boring grey, white and black of the parkade, these vibrant colours exist as a nice contrast.
I’m not sure about anybody else, but I’ve been in a serious winter weather shooting funk. The boring overcast skies and constant snow has really put a damper on my motivation, and I’m finding it difficult to find any inspiration to go out when my city looks so disgusting. With any luck, April will bring some nicer weather and I’ll be out and about shortly, but in the meantime, you’ll have to put up with shots from my archive. Here’s hoping for spring!
That blue really pops! I hear you on the winter funk 🙁 I’m ready for the sun to make a return so the world isn’t so bland all the dang time. Not to mention having warm fingers and toes while out shooting.
Right there with you with the shooting funk…aside from my recent trip, I’ve just been combing through the archives to grab something/anything that looks inviting/warm.
Interesting shot of color and shape. Love how the 5 is tack sharp and focus falls off slowly from there.
Really dig the contrasting colors, and that is a sweet looking blue! Not to join the choir, but I’m with you on the winter deal. I’m ready for some warm sunsets around here. We’ll get there soon, just maybe a couple weeks before you… 😉
We had a tough winter down here in NC, but spring is definitely here! Ya’ll come on down anytime if you’d like some warmth.
Nice shot, Heath. I love the lines.
Dude, only one solution, get down to NYC for some spring shootin 🙂 Great lines in this image, the blue and yellow really make it pop!
The colors are definitely the star! Great work Heath!
Totally with you on the funk business… I love how crisp the blue ‘5’ is here. It really stands out – cool photo!
Great lines in this image and love the tone of the colors.
Great composition. The blue and yellow really compliment each other and make the photo pop.
Lovely bright colours, just what we need to cheer up the mood and to dispel Crap Weather Shooting Funk!
really like this, simple yet effective.
Know what you mean about being in a funk – it happens to me, just gotta re-adjust your priorities, take a little time out and not ‘make’ yourself shoot. Your enthusiasm will return don’t worry!
I’ve liked your shots from this location, and enjoy the shapes of the pipes in this one. Living in London I’m used to the overcast skies 🙂
Nice contrast with color and love the framing. Hate the funk! 🙂
