Heath OFeeI don’t know about you guys, but for some reason I’ve always wanted to smash an old CRT television. I just looks like so much fun when they do it on TV! I didn’t get the chance to live that dream with this old RCA that I found in an abandoned diner, but someone did…and I bet they had a blast doing it.
As for the title of this post…I grew up listening to Dire Straits because my dad was a huge fan. I can remember many a road trip rocking out to those guys, and I specifically remember the long introduction to ‘Money For Nothing’ was one of my favourite parts of any of their songs. And what a riff once it got started!

Reminds of the new Staples commercial. A family comes home to find that they’ve been robbed. Their entire house has been trashed and the dad points out they even took the flat screen tv. He notices though, that “they didn’t take the computer”. On the floor lies an old CRT monitor and a horizontal tower, early 1990s. Their only reaction to the robbery was that they need to get a new computer! In your case Heath, “they didn’t take the RCA”. Ok, you just have to see it for yourself! Sorry for the long comment 🙂

I’ve been in a few places where a CRT has still be in place, but have resisted the temptation to stray from my urban exploration ‘no damaging’ rule and opted to simply let them be rather than throw them out of the nearest window.
