In addition to the pretty cool Joshua Trees that reside in the national park of the same name, there are also some pretty cool rock formations. The landscape felt almost alien to me. Big, round rocks jutting out of low scrubby desert is definitely something I’m not used to seeing living in Calgary. I tried to portray the alien feeling in the processing…a little cool and kind of barren feeling.
I like it man…processing is spot-on for a barren, alien landscape. Like the leading lines of the rocks in the foreground, and the clouds coming off the top rock are awesome too.
Great shot. I like the comp and processing. The title most certainly fits the image!!
Lovin the title & processing. Nice Heath.
Excellent image and processing! Definitely feels like an alien world.
Cool, get out the moon rover! Very alien-ish Heath! Good catch!
Love the strong lighting and your choice of processing!
That is one cool-looking landscape! Definitely dig your processing, nice!!
Nice shot, Heath.
Really nice composition and detail Heath.
I like this…composition works for me. Love the desert 🙂
Cool shot, Heath!
Love the composition & the processing!

The rock structure up at the top almost looks like an abandoned sculpture project. Cool.
Love the foreground dominance with the wide angle. Spot on processing.
Nice work on the foreground which does look very barren and alien – though I think the sky would need to be a little more orange or another colour other than blue for me to really believe it’s an alien landscape. I don’t know why I think other places can’t have blue skies! Nice shot.
