Today, I thought I’d take you all back to the Salton Sea for some delicious urbex. This is a shot from Bombay Beach which is quite possibly the creepiest little town I’ve ever been through. It’s set up in a small grid pattern and probably measures 10 streets by 10 streets. There are still some people living there, but most of the houses and garages have either fallen completely apart or are in the process of slowly decaying. I really wanted to explore all of the amazing urbexy goodness, but to be honest, I was scared of being chased off by some crazy person with a shotgun. Probably an unnecessary fear…but you never know 🙂
Just over the hill from the main town, there’s an old beach with some completely burned/salted over homes and trailers. What was once a nice little beach is now completely abandoned and littered with dead fish. It’s a bit sad, but makes for some very interesting images.
Incredible shot! One of my new favs of yours.
Just another ridiculous shot from this location. Heroic light and sunburst. You find the best signs dude, so jealous
Great shot, Heath! You show the desolation and dacay very well. Love the sunburst. Jesse’s right, you find some great signs!
Super sunburst! I can just imagine kicking back on that chair watching the TV…or at least, I would be if I was a crazy person with a shotgun. Great stuff.
Great catch, Heath. The sunburst makes it extra special!
Kind of expecting a zombie to stagger into view…Fantastic shot!
AMAZING!!! Definitely a highlight from this series Heath, what great work!
Sick sunburst! It contrasts the desolate and barren scene. Love those old-school PC monitors 🙂
Epic sunburst mate… a great shot!
Great catch. Love the sunburst.
Sounds like an absolutely creepy place to shoot. Right up my alley.
Love this shot! You do such great HDR.
Wow, what a scene. I absolutely love the sunburst. Imo, it makes the image!
This is a clear favorite in my book Heath!
