I had the pleasure of shooting some family/child portraits for some good friends of mine this past Monday night. They were in town from their relatively new home in Kelowna, BC, and were kind enough to give me the opportunity to capture some moments for them.
Little 3-month old Zachary was starting to teethe, so we all had a bit of a hard time trying to get the little guy to cooperate, but had a great time in the process. At the end of the day, I was able to get some really great shots, and I can’t wait to process them all to hand off to my wonderful friends. I took some time to process this shot last night…I think it’ll end up being my favourite of the shoot 🙂
Heath, this is an awesome shot! As a father of 4 kids I can say first hand that a shot like this is very hard to capture. Great PJ’s!!
Heath, this is fantastic. It’s such a great idea to position the little guy off center on a big couch. You really have something brewing with this portrait work.
love it, really digging your portrait work Heath
Great shot, great idea showing more of the couch to provide a sense of scale.
Awesome shot and awesome idea with the couch! I love it!
I have to admit this was not what I expected when I clicked over from tweetdeck. I didn’t notice the portrait tag, and the title made me assume it was some urbex shot with one of those abandoned couches that seem to turn up almost everywhere and completely inexplicably. This was a nice surprise.
Seriously, seriously CUTE! As with any of your portrait shots, I love it!
Awwwwwww 🙂 Awesome shot Heath 🙂
Heath, as proud grandparents we think he is adorable and the cutest anyway; however this is an amazing picture! Thanks.
What do they say about never working with children or animals? 😉 You’ve done well, and little Zachary doesn’t look too grumpy at all considering he’s teething – nice one!
Personality, plus! Love it.
Priceless! Love this photo.
Wow, love this one Heath!
Aww… such a wonderful, momentary departure from HDR. Thanks for this “you brought a smile to my face” moment. I love polka dots!
I love this shot heath…nicely done. I am also going to start getting into doing portrait work, your work is inspiring. well done!
Very nice job. I love the balance here.
So good my friend.
Very nice; certainly now one of my favourites of yours. I look forward to seeing a few others from this shoot.
Incredible ! Maybe the coolest baby pic I ever saw 🙂
Talk about cute on a comfy couch! Love the photography
